About the Role
We’re looking for a highly technical and hands-on Management Analyst who is passionate about data engineering, AI/ML solutions, and software development. You will spend most of your time building robust data pipelines, crafting intelligent algorithms, writing and testing production-quality code, and applying SDLC best practices to deliver value-driven, scalable solutions.
While you may provide some guidance to junior team members and help align projects, this role is focused on deep individual technical contributions — from requirements analysis and design through to implementation, testing, and deployment — with the goal of delivering solutions that optimize operations and empower business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Technical Contributions
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data engineering solutions — design, implement, and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT), data lakes, and cloud data warehouses using tools like Spark, Airflow, and dbt.
- Prototype and implement AI/ML models (e.g. predictive analytics, NLP, anomaly detection) using Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other frameworks.
- Build and deploy microservices, APIs, automation scripts, and data-driven software solutions in Python, Java, or related languages.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and participate in peer code reviews to ensure robust, high-quality code aligned with software development best practices.
- Maintain strong adherence to the SDLC — version control, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), testing, and proper documentation.
Analysis & Architecture
- Gather and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and user stories.
- Develop feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and functional/technical specifications.
- Conduct data profiling and explore data for quality, completeness, and readiness for analysis or AI model training.
- Design architectures that support data processing and AI workloads securely and efficiently.
Collaboration & Guidance
- Provide informal technical mentorship to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across teams.
- Communicate progress, trade-offs, and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional collaboration (Product, Operations, Marketing) to deliver technology solutions that meet business goals.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
Experience & Technical Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, software engineering, or AI/ML development.
- Proven expertise with SQL, scripting in Python, Java, or Scala, and data pipeline tools (e.g. Spark, Airflow, dbt).
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices — version control (e.g. Git), testing frameworks (e.g. pytest, JUnit), CI/CD, SDLC, and agile principles.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and MLOps workflows.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
- Effective communication skills to translate complex findings into actionable business insights.
- Willingness to help teammates grow their skills and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing GenAI (e.g. LLMs, RAG) or predictive analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
- Industry-specific expertise (e.g. finance, healthcare, retail) is a plus.
