About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable System Analyst with a strong business analysis background and hands-on experience with data technologies and AI-enabled solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams — gathering requirements, analyzing processes, supporting system design and data architecture, and working closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. You will also help drive adoption of AI and advanced analytics tools to deliver automation, actionable insights, and data-driven innovation across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Systems Analysis
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and system requirements.
- Develop functional and technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct gap and impact analysis, identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions aligned with company goals.
- Participate in feasibility reviews and evaluate third-party solutions.
Agile/Scrum Participation
- Act as liaison between product owners and technical teams during sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews.
- Write clear, testable requirements and support sprint deliverables.
- Help manage backlogs and prioritize tasks for business value.
- Contribute to retrospectives and continuous process improvement.
Data Analysis & AI Integration
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and areas for system or process optimization.
- Work with data engineering teams on data models, pipelines, and data warehouses.
- Support BI/reporting efforts using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to design and implement AI/ML solutions.
Software & Systems Development Support
- Support software/system enhancements through all stages of the SDLC.
- Assist with system integrations, APIs, and data flows between core platforms.
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and issue tracking.
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Scrum (CSM, PSPO) certifications are a plus.
Experience
- 4+ years in a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role.
- Proven experience working in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams.
- Familiarity with writing user stories, functional specs, process maps, and data dictionaries.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with ETL, data lakes, data warehouses, and reporting tools.
- Exposure to scripting/programming (Python, JavaScript) and version control (Git, Jira).
- Interest in AI/ML concepts and experience integrating predictive or automation models into existing solutions.
- Understanding of cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and software integration patterns is highly desirable.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into plain business language.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, multiple priorities, and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with process automation (RPA) or advanced analytics projects.
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA).
- Exposure to business process reengineering and continuous improvement frameworks.
